Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 on an Olympic celebration. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was six years old. Comaneci was the first to compete for time at the national junior championships, placing 13th. The following year she was crowned champion. At her first international competition that was an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975 she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver in her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven parallel bars. Her journey in the world of entertainment began in her teens when she began doing figure skating alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her journey into the entertainment business in her teens. Her first professional gig was figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating with theatrical shows.
