April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started the guitar and piano lessons in seventh grade. This sparked curiosity. At the age of seven she began to take piano and guitar lessons. It sparked her interest in songwriting. In her 14th year, April devoted much of her time creating and playing with songs. Then, in the following months, April began to go on trips with her dad and to write songs in NY as well as LA. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with issues such as peer pressurization problems, as well as teenage suicide. Lockhart collaborates with popular clean beauty brand Ilia as well as a lifestyle blogger who has a growing fan base. Born without a left hand, Lockhart has a significant part to play in her. But it's not her entire story. Lockhart's Twitter profile does not ignore her being disabled and does not make a point of it. What is the message? The message is that we are more than our physical selves. The identities we have are complex and we contain many different aspects. Lockhart is interviewed through video from Nashville. "I don't wish for it to dictate my life. I'm not looking to be only known as a disability expert. My day-today life is not affected by it. I go about my regular day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to problems. The same is true for my life, and I think it's something that needs to be addressed. Lockhart has been a great inspiration to her fellow women in the area of self-acceptance. She has had periods where she felt insecure about wearing certain clothing styles which displayed her arms. She is able to wear anything she'd like, and proudly shares photos of her wearing these clothes. It's a journey is the key thing I'm not sure if it will be an end about self-love. This is, however, common for anyone that is prone to doubts. People you associate yourself with, who know your personal story and who can look into your heart are the best people to remind you of what you're worried about.
