One baby was strapped on my back, while the other crawled in the playground. I stayed up all night days, for months, sanding and removing wallpaper, with one child. Ha! All was beginning to fall in place, yet we were nowhere near done. The house would need a great deal of effort and an enthusiasm to shop. In order to keep my budget sound, I travelled with my 3 boys looking for bargains at estate sales. Our weekly routine consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through garage sales, buying vintage and modern pieces, while I spent on weekdays painting and sanding the driveway. The look was a little similar to the following... Here is where my love for restoring antique furniture started. No matter what, the home was decorated. On the streets, I rented a small area and then sold a few pieces. Then, my collection got to the point that the space I had available was inadequate. My house was transformed into a space that I hosted open houses, where up to 1000 visitors could see items from my first floor and purchase the items. Growing Days is the result of this. When my business grew and so did our small family. As a young mom I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own business as well as become a great mother. Growing Days was the obvious choice. In 2013, my beautiful daughter Nora came along our 4th child. Though I was content about the direction my company took, I felt like I needed to take some time off. I took a pause from making vintage furniture, and I slowed down my speed and stayed at home to take care of the kids. In the beginning, this was the ideal thing to do. In the course of a few months, the phone began to begin to. I was getting calls from people asking me for assistance with home improvements and design of interiors. The majority of them had visited my house at the open houses to purchase furniture. After that, I gradually took on more clients, according to my own pace. In the end, I had many clients, and had an enterprise of renovations to homes. If you'd told me that my company would become an idea for the DIY Network show, I likely would have thought you were crazy. It's true that I laugh when I think about the idea.
